Description
Our memorization algorithms are based on the unique method developed by the German scientist Hermann Ebbinghaus, who studied how human memory works.
The essence of his theory is simple and brilliant: to remember something for a long time, you need to repeat it, but not mechanically — it should be meaningful repetition. This is the foundation of his entire method.
Ebbinghaus experimentally determined the optimal intervals for repetition, which significantly enhances memorization. He proved that while only about 10% of information remains in "standard" memory after a week, with repeated intervals, you can retain up to 95% of the knowledge.
In our app, this principle is implemented through interval notifications — you receive reminders to repeat words at the optimal times, helping to keep the knowledge in long-term memory. Additionally, to test what you've learned, we've introduced a convenient tool — a word randomizer, which helps reinforce the words you've studied.
