Description

Hadith experts (Arabic: أَهْل الحَدِيث,. ahlul-ḥadiṡ) is a sect of Sunni Islam that emerged in the 2nd/3rd century of the Islamic era (late 8th and 9th centuries AD) as a movement of ulama hadith which considers the Koran and authentic hadith as the sole authority in matters of law and faith.

The hadith expert Imams are Imam Bukhari, Imam Muslim, Imam Abu Dawud, Imam at-Tirmidhi, Imam an-Nasa'i and Imam Ibn Majah.
This book of 6 Imams is known as "Kutubussittah", which is used as a guide by Muslims to understand the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Hadith is the second source of Islamic law after the Koran. There are at least nine branches of ulumul hadith which are the focus of hadith experts.
