Description

Prioritizing the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers and partners in all our operations is fundamental to everyone at Metso Outotec. Our goal is to guarantee a safe working environment for our employees and we are committed to taking responsibility for our own safety and for the safety of others. We believe that world-class safety comes from a combination of having the right attitude, making the right decisions and taking the right actions. World-class safety is also a sign of quality. Safe businesses are productive businesses. Therefore, all Metso Outotec employees must actively participate in eliminating or controlling factors that may threaten health, safety and well-being. We also require our partners and subcontractors to take care of occupational health and safety issues within their operations.
HSE24 App is a new tool to quickly and easily report and track HSE related conversations, incidents, risk observations, corrective actions and more. Metso Outotec is continually working to enhance and improve this app. Version 1.0 includes safety conversations – a simple routine that helps in recognizing the hazards, improving the ability to observe risks, finding the corrective actions, and evaluating and further developing the level of safety awareness.
Safety conversations enable us to influence, measure and evaluate the safety culture in the workplace. They help the site:
- to reinforce positive safety behavior and to raise safety awareness.
- to identify safe and unsafe work practices or procedures in order that corrective measures can be implemented.
- to ensure compliance with site procedures, regulations, policies and standards.
- to continually improve safety performance.
