It took over to operate it for 36 years. With the transfer, investment studies were started in January 2012 to transform the Iskenderun Port into a modern container port.

Within the scope of investment studies, quay structures, stockyards, roads, port entrances and warehouses and all buildings that have completed their economic life have been demolished and rebuilt, and new dock and terminal cranes for port operations have been procured. In addition, dredging works were carried out at the port, allowing ships with a draft of up to 14.50 - 15.00 m to berth. As a result of investment studies, the port of Iskenderun has been transformed into a modern and developed port.

The port continues its activities as Limak İskenderun International Port Management Inc. continues under the name
