Description

The recognition of leaves and plants from images implies several steps, starting with several image processing, feature extraction, plant identification, matching and testing and finally results generation.
Each leaf contains unique distinct pattern on it that provides effective input. So for the identification of species the contours of the leaf are first identified which are then processed and a feature vector is formulated. The generated feature vectors are stored in the database and used for matching the vectors generated from other samples to be tested.
The mobile application will be created allowing the users to identify plants using image processing.
