Description

Kia Digital Key is a new service that allows you to open and start the vehicle using the NFC and Bluetooth communication of your smartphone.
Kia Digital Key App provides functions such as door lock/unlock, remote start, emergency alarm, and trunk opening near the vehicle through Bluetooth remote control.
You can also easily share your car keys with family and friends using the Kia Digital Key App.

[main function]
1. Door lock/unlock (NFC)
Unlock the smartphone's screen to touch the smartphone's NFC antenna to the vehicle's door handle. After digital key authentication through NFC antenna mounted on the door handle
The door is locked/unlocked.

2. Engine start (NFC)
After unlocking the screen with the smartphone key on the wireless charger with the NFC antenna integrated in the vehicle, placing the smartphone's NFC antenna facing down, step on the brake and press the start button, It starts up after digital key authentication.

3. Remote Control (Bluetooth)
The low-power Bluetooth remote control allows you to lock/unlock the vehicle's door or control emergency alarm and remote start functions from near the vehicle.
The remote control cannot be controlled at the same time when another user performs remote control.

[Add-ons]
1. Vehicle status information
You can check the status information of the vehicle being used with the digital key within the Kia Digital Key App.

Driving information: Accumulated mileage (km), fuel economy (km/L), drivable distance (km), remaining fuel (L)
② Status information: tire pressure, vehicle door lock and open status, trunk open status
※ The information displayed is the information at the time when the smartphone that can use the vehicle last performed NFC or Bluetooth communication with the vehicle.
Therefore, it may differ from the actual vehicle condition.

2. Vehicle personalization settings
You can link the digital key with the vehicle user's profile on the AVN screen.
※ AVN menu: Preferences > User Profile > Digital key linkage (smartphone)
When entering and exiting the vehicle with a smartphone linked to the profile, the position of the side mirror, driver's seat, and AVN settings are adjusted according to the user profile.

[Share function]
You can share the key with family, acquaintances, and co-workers using the sharing function of Kia Digital Key

Click the Share Digital Key button to check the current key sharing status. It can be shared by up to 3 people.
Press the “+” button to open the digital key sharing setting screen.
Enter the real name and phone number of the person to whom the key will be shared, check the permission, and click the OK button.
④ A shared key issuance text or Push message is sent. The sharer can use it after installing the app and registering as a member.
⑤ On the digital key sharing screen, you can check the key sharing result and information on the sharer who received the key.

※ Notice
- Kia Digital Key service is available only for Android phone users.
- For available smartphone models, please refer to the Kia Members website (access https://members.kia.com. Digital Kia > Kia Digital Key > Customer Support)
- In the case of iPhone, use is restricted according to Apple's NFC non-support policy.
- You can sign up for the Kia Digital Key service after creating a member account on the Kia Members site (https://members.kia.com).
- After downloading and installing the Kia Digital Key App, log in by entering your Kia Members ID/PW.
- The sharer downloads and installs the Kia Digital Key App, and then enters the Kia Members ID/PW to log in.
- The sharer can use the Kia Digital Key directly without a separate procedure for registering the key in the vehicle.
- Digital key sharing is available only for the primary user. Sharers other than the primary user may not share the digital key with anyone.
- The provided functions and display information may be changed for performance and function improvement depending on the model of the vehicle to which the digital key is applied and the version of the smartphone app.
