iSTEAM Coaches App – Track, Train & Analyze Athlete Performance

Are you a track and field coach striving for peak performance and streamlined team management? iSTEAM is the revolutionary, data-driven coaching platform designed to empower coaches like you to optimize training, enhance communication, and drive data-informed decisions to take your athletes to the next level. It helps track student-athlete performance, make data-informed decisions to maximize their potential, and manage large classes seamlessly.
iSTEAM consists of a wearable device and Four (4) modules. The School/Academy module, The Recruiter Module, the Super-admin module and The Coach module. The modules are web app based except the Coach module which has both web app and mobile app functionalities. For the purposes of this submission, focus will be on the features offered by the Coaches mobile application.
You will require an invitation from the Academy module to log into the Coaches app. You will be able to set up your Coach account via the Coaches web app. You can then download the app and use your registered credentials to log into the iSTEAM Coaches App.
Data collected via the wearable device and through the Coaches mobile application is essential for the other three (3) modules to work efficiently. These include but not limited to the student management data, performance recording data, real time performance tracking data and performance insights by the Coach.
The iSTEAM Coaches App is designed to help coaches manage and track student-athletes' training, performance, and progress with ease.
Key Features:
🔹 Home Tab:
Upon logging in, you'll land on the Home tab, where a welcome message appears on the top left and a Settings button on the right.
In Settings, you can access the Privacy Policy and contact Support via email.
Below the welcome message, a Search Bar allows you to find student-athletes already added via the Academy module.
A Bluetooth icon leads to device pairing, with a list of recently paired devices displayed below.
Start a 100m test or view all connected devices.
The Recent Recordings section provides a quick view of training data, and clicking "View All" takes you to the Records tab.
🔹 Student Management:
The Students Tab allows you to search and manage student-athletes.
View a list of students and mark them as Present or Absent for training.
Tap "View Profile" to see detailed athlete information, including:
Profile picture, name, grade, and academy
Training history & attendance
Personal best records in their default discipline
Weight, height, and guardian details
Performance comparison infographics
Goal-setting section for coaches to track progress and update notes
🔹 Performance Recording:
The center tab (Start Button) allows you to initiate a new performance recording.
Select a student and choose an event type from multiple disciplines.
Students must be marked as present before starting a recording.
Pairing a device enables heart rate monitoring, but recording can proceed even if no device is paired.
🔹 Real-Time Performance Tracking:
The Recording Page displays event details, heart rate (if paired), and the athlete's info.
A timer in the center tracks event progress, with distance on the left and average speed on the right.
Coaches can set lap times for multi-lap events and stop or cancel recordings if necessary.
Upon completion, clicking "End Event" saves the data, and coaches can review the recorded performance.
🔹 Performance Insights & Sharing:
View recorded event details, including:
Event distance, date, and performance time
Athlete profile and key metrics (average speed, start & end time)
Editable Coach’s Comments section
Share performance data via various platforms
🔹 Coach Profile & Account Management:
Access the Profile Tab to view your name, academy details, and email.
Coaches can update their information via the iSTEAM Coaches Web App and log out as needed.
