Description

The Islamic religion is one of the world religions, which has made its unique and inimitable contribution to the development of world civilization and culture. From the Middle Ages to the present, the worldview and legal provisions of Islam are the property of hundreds of millions of people on the planet. Currently, Muslim communities have appeared and are developing in almost all countries of the world. This process is ongoing in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other CIS countries. Naturally, this process has generated increased interest in various aspects of the Islamic religion.
Due to the interest in the problems associated with the Islamic religion, encyclopedic literature is of particular importance, without which it becomes difficult to understand many aspects of Islam.
The encyclopedic dictionary offered to readers is the first textbook in Russian, in which an attempt was made to clarify most of the basic concepts and terms that are used in the Islamic tradition. Also, for the first time in Russian-language Islamic study of literature, the author tried to present the material as is customary in the Muslim tradition and not to introduce his thoughts and analytical conclusions there, which could prevent readers from obtaining objective information about various aspects of Islam. The articles contained in the dictionary provide information on a particular topic, and the analytical conclusions that may follow from this information are provided at the discretion of the reader, since the author did not aim to impose his opinion on readers.
