Description
The demo application is showcasing the transient device concept through a simple video application, consisting of three parts:
1. receiving a DASH video stream from a storage component
2. processing the decoded video image through configurable image processing functions
3. displaying the processed video image on a suitable surface
The demo app consists of three micro-services that each realize the three parts above. If those micro-services are executed on a local device, the app works like a single application, while the application also includes trigger-based as well as manual control over the local execution, in which case the micro-services are being executed on other devices, including in network devices.
The application also attempts deploying a network-based service component through orchestration, utilizing the InterDigital FLIPS service platform.
