Description

This application allows you to query information about terrestrial and marine wildlife of the Canary archipelago, registered in the data bank Biodiversity Canarias (BDBC). Each species has a tab where all known information of each clump as: taxonomy, endemism, images, insular distribution, etc.

You can also view maps richness of species groups by grids of 500 x 500 m, which are displayed in a directory that the user can select and view.

If you are validated user contributes to improved understanding of the biodiversity of the islands recording and synchronizing the Biodiversity Databank Canarian images and points of distribution of wild species, with particular attention to endangered, protected and exotic species. The information will be assigned to a document "reference expert" automatically with the user's name, title, and the data of the species that have transferred to subsequent validation by the scientific supervisor.

This application provides:
- Query interface touch screen.
- Integration of GPS position.
- Consultation over 21,000 terrestrial and marine species in the Canary Islands.
- Catalogue of maps of species richness.
- Registry of species in real time or delayed depending on the availability of coverage.
- Export of captured records (kmz, csv and BDBC) using the applications on your handheld (email, Dropbox, etc).
