The unified platform for Gulf women’s sports
In 2023, the Gulf Olympic Committees adopted the United Arab Emirates’ proposal to establish a unified platform for Gulf women’s sports, to become the official reference for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, to review the Gulf state’s efforts and experience in empowering women in the sports field. This came during the 97th meeting of the Executive Office, which approved the proposals that were submitted by the Advisory Committee for Women’s Sports affiliated with the Executive Office of the Council of Presidents of Olympic Committees in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, following its second meeting held in the Omani capital, Muscat.
