DoIT&C Face Authentication

Description

By leveraging the UIDAI’s Face RD application, Department of Information Technology and Communication, Govt. of Rajasthan has developed a Generic Android application for performing Aadhaar Based Face Authentication of residents/beneficiaries.
It will work in both Operator and Individual mode i.e. an Operator like Emitra/FPS shop owner can perform Face authentication of its consumers using application in this mobile or an individual beneficiary can do the same using this application in his own mobile phone.
Operator and beneficiary can register on the app using SSO ID. SSO ID and Password are required to login on the app.
UIDAI uses face authentication as a process by which an Aadhaar number holder's identity can be verified. A successful face authentication confirms that your physical face which is being scanned for verification matches the one which was captured at the time of enrolment when your Aadhaar number was generated. A successful face authentication confirms that you are who you claim to be.
Face authentication is based on a 1:1 matching which means that the facial image captured during authentication is matched with your facial image which is stored in the Repository against your Aadhaar Number, which was captured at the time of enrolment.
