REFORME, THE WEEKLY PROTESTANT NEWSPAPER
Every week, make sense of the news.
A free, original perspective, independent of any political, ideological, or ecclesiastical influence.
A perspective that combines respect for others and the power of conviction.
- DECIPHERING THE NEWS
- QUESTIONING THEOLOGY
- UNDERSTANDING OUR WORLD
- CONFRONTING OPINIONS
Réforme offers its readers a different perspective on current events and the changes in our society. But it also seeks to highlight and publicize the initiatives taken by many associations, movements, and communities inspired by the Gospel. Committed to the demands of ecumenism and far from any strictly denominational attitude, this newspaper aims to be filled with hope, benevolent, and warm.
The weekly Réforme aims to complement daily newspapers and general magazines, deciphering and analyzing current events in the political, social, economic, and cultural spheres. Its goal is to offer in-depth reflection on the issues raised by current events and to help discern and provide guidance.
Information that is commented on, explained, and committed to a certain conception of politics, society, and humanity. "It is first and foremost a matter of seeking meaningful information, that is, information that leaves a clear mark on a society." "Information here is raw material that must be reworked to reveal meaning or interpretation," according to one of its founders, sociologist and theologian Jacques Ellul.
Reform thus addresses the entire population and contributes to public debate from its particular roots. Reform is a platform, an agora where different points of view are heard.
Accustomed by its Protestant origins to the diversity of opinions and the confrontation of ideas, Reform seeks to encourage high-quality, contradictory debates by allowing everyone to develop their own arguments. Reform's "line" is one of confrontation and diversity.
Read Reform to make sense of current events, go beyond slogans and ready-made ideas.
