Description

Polyglot Trainer: Listen & Learn is a free language training app designed to help you memorize the pronunciation of various words and phrases while learning a foreign language. Phrases are played in random order, and you're encouraged to recall their translation on your own. After a short pause, the correct translation is spoken automatically.
The method is based on the classic flashcard technique — one side shows a phrase in your native language, the other side shows its translation in the target language.

Supported languages: English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi

Key Features:
1. Completely free
2. Multilingual interface – choose from English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, or Hindi.
3. Offline training – internet connection is required only for downloading new courses. You can use the app offline for training sessions.
4. Flexible content selection – choose or deselect specific sections or phrases to focus on what matters to you.
5. Customizable settings – tap the menu icon (top right corner) to:
- Change the interface language
- Set the pause duration between phrases (1–20 seconds)
- Select one of three playback modes:
phrase spoken first in the target language, then (after a pause) in your native language;
phrase spoken first in the native language, then (after a pause) in the target language
phrase spoken only in the target language, with pauses between phrases

Tips for Beginners:
Start with no more than 10 familiar phrases. As soon as you can confidently recall their meanings, add new ones.
We recommend alternating between "target language → native language" and "native language → target language" modes.
In the second mode, it's helpful to say the foreign phrases out loud to reinforce pronunciation.
