In psychology, the focal effect is the demonstration of an intervention in the reaction time of a task.
When the name of a color (eg "blue", "green" or "red") is printed on a color that is not specified by the name (ie the word "red" where blue ink is printed instead of red ink)), it takes longer to name the color of the word, and the color of the ink takes the name of the color. it is more prone to error than matches.
