Description

The Vital Concern app connects any local church's members 24/7 via instant sharing of prayer requests, help requests, and announcements in a private, password-protected community.

In use for over 15 years, Vital Concern helps unify a church. "The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts....If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it" (I Corinthians 12:12, 26).

Member requests are structured with intake forms for conciseness and to organize them for various purposes, such as identifying urgent prayer requests or requests for help. Members give their requests an expiration date, and the most recent posts are listed first.

Members may update their requests with the latest information, corrections, or praise reports.

Churches must set up an account through one person who acts as administrator of the church's network. Members can then log into the app or the website and post prayer requests, etc., that are visible to all members of their congregation.

Requests may be flagged as urgent. Members may also designate their requests to be emailed to all local members immediately.

Requests are posted without screening, but church administrators have access to modify or delete any posted request if appropriate.

Vital Concern is based on three premises:

1. God places no limits on His blessings for those who seek only His will. Knowing the goodness and power of God, who would not want to receive His gifts?

2. God wills that the body of Christ be tightly and intimately connected, with sincere love and honor for every part.

3. God wills that we pray unceasingly for Christians and others, both in the local church and around the world.
