ISRP14

Description

The International Radiation Physics Society (IRPS), founded in Ferrara, Italy, in 1985,
has regularly sponsored the International Symposium on Radiation Physics (ISRP)
series of meetings.
44 years have passed since the first Symposium in Calcutta, India. From the ISRP-3 held
in Ferrara, Italy, the symposia have been held every three years, without interruption,
with venues in the five continents, now arriving at ISRP-14 that convenes this October
2018 in Córdoba, Argentina. The ISRPs have become a standard and valuable meeting
for radiation physicists, representing a global space that motivates discussions of the
new and future aspects of all sub-fields of Radiation Physics.
The ISRP-14 presents an intense 5-day challenge. Its Program has collected, after
review, almost 290 abstracts of participating scientists coming from 28 countries on 5
continents. ISRP-14 will offer a novel program with 35 plenary speakers, oral
conference sessions in simultaneous lecture halls, three poster sessions, forums, social
activities and banquet, cultural walks and a tour. The second 2018 meeting of the IRPS
Council will also be held.
On behalf of the ISRP-14 Organizing Committee, we thank everyone for their
participation, we acknowledge the efforts to acquire the necessary budget, and the

to our community. We also recognize the work of the local team, and the high spirit of
collaboration of the institutions and sponsors of ISRP-14. Finally, we are appreciative
that IRPS has designated Cordoba, Argentina, the venue of the fourteenth edition of its
Symposium, transforming for a special week Córdoba to the world's epicenter
of Radiation Physics.
