App provides information on poisoning risks, first aid measures and connects quickly with the responsible poison control center.

The BfR app is an advisor and a helper at the same time: It is intended to convey knowledge to protect infants and toddlers from poisoning. The app contains tips for child-proof storage of medicines, household chemicals and products. It gives important information that can save lives in an emergency: First aid measures are explained for all poisoning accidents, the picture of the poisoning is described in detail and the presentation to a pediatrician / children's clinic is clarified.

Poison Control
The responsible poison information center in a federal state can be called directly from the app. Via geolocation it is possible to establish a connection to the responsible poison control center.

Important information
The start screen gives you access to all information about household products and substances that can lead to poisoning. The aim of the individual rubrics is to provide you with the knowledge you need to prevent and avoid “poison accidents”.

Poisonings divided into categories
The app is divided into four categories in which all products or plants are sorted alphabetically:
1. Under "A-Z Poisoning" you will find all the products mentioned in this app, sorted alphabetically.
2. Under “Household” you will find household products, chemicals, foreign objects and toys.
3. Plant poisoning.
4. Poisoning with drugs.

In the “First Aid” section, you will find tips for general first aid measures in the event of poisoning, as well as first aid measures for various accident and poisoning scenarios.

data protection
It was ensured that the app only uses the system rights that are required for the app to function properly. In addition, no data is recorded, which means that the app can be used anonymously.
