A Chama, Sacco, or investment group plays a critical role in our lives since it allows us to pool our resources together and achieve much more that we would as individuals. Beyond financial aspect, each member brings unique talents, expertise and viewpoints which contribute to the success of the group.

However, for all the potential that a chama has, it can quickly and easily be undermined by problems of governance and management. It is for this very reason that the Chama app was developed.

The primary goal and vision for Chama app is to provide clarity and transparency to all financial transactions of its members. This is achieved in a few simple steps:
• All members download the Chama app
• The administrator creates a group (or groups) and adds all the members to the group
• The administrator add transactions for the group (contribution payments, expenses, merry-go-round etc.)
• Each member can now see and monitor all activities that happen in their group (and all other groups that they belong to)

Remember:
• Most of us are members of multiple chamas
• Chama app will show you all the groups you belong to
• Finally, you will now be able to quickly and easily keep an eye on all your chamas!
