Walking Play

Description

Walking Play is an application that tries to fight mainly against sedentary lifestyle in the pediatric population, although it also serves the entire population in general, in it you must walk more than 11,000 daily steps to be an active person and get level stars. With the total accumulated score, you will get a series of avatars reaching a number of steps, these characters will be stored in your collection.

In addition to all this, Walking Play serves as a methodological tool to be used with Gamification and through its playful component make children acquire healthy lifestyle habits.

A research study was carried out during a Physical Education session using different configurations, finally through the analyzed data it was found that the most appropriate configuration in terms of rewards was to obtain the first avatar in the first 2000 steps. This configuration kept the students more active during a Physical Education session.

We can also find a section dedicated to force videos where the correct technique of squat, felxions, irons, jumps and throws is explained. These videos can be used for the Flipped Classroom methodology (inverted classroom), where students can view them at home and then work in the classroom.
