Are you looking to deepen your relationship with God and develop a consistent, healthy discipline of prayer and Bible study? The Book of Common Prayer (1979) produced by the Episcopal Church provides a daily collection of prayers and Scripture called the Daily Office that will strengthen your faith and help you draw closer to God.
For each day of the year, Morning Prayer, Noonday Prayer, Evening Prayer, and Compline options are available in both English and Spanish.
As you progress, you'll read through almost all of the Bible while also praying powerful prayers that the church has used throughout its history. Daily readings include Psalms, Old Testament, New Testament, and Gospel passages. Times for personal prayer and song are also a part of each day's schedule.
What makes PrayerHaven different from other Daily Office apps? PrayerHaven lets you customize your prayer experience based on whether you're praying by yourself or praying with others in a group.
In "Group" mode, you'll see page numbers and special instructions that make it easier to pray with others who may be reading out of the printed Book of Common Prayer. This is perfect for church gatherings and small group settings.
In "Personal" mode, page numbers and other instructions are removed to give you a simplified, easy-to-read prayer experience. You'll also have several song selections provided from artists on Sound Cloud.
Another unique feature of PrayerHaven is the ability to pick and choose all of the optional elements of each day's prayer time. Customize the opening psalms, canticles, and other prayers that you or others in your group need to hear.
If you want to increase the text size, you can rotate your device sideways into "landscape" view and pinch to zoom in or out to the perfect size that's right for you.
