One Read

Description

One Read is a virtual book club where subscribers have access to a curated selection of fantastic books authored by Africans and released monthly. This will be followed by a seven-day author engagement period where subscribers get to interact with the author, share reviews and win prizes.

Read or Listen
Every month,One Read releases a fabulous book which will be available on a subscriber’s devices for 21 days. During this time, subscribers will be able to read the book or listen to audiobook version at their own pace. Subscribers will also be able to choose whether to read or to listen. All One Read books are written and read by Africans writers/performers.

Create a Bookclub
Sadly, for many of us, bookclubs are going to become a thing of the past as we grow warier of public gatherings. One of the fantastic things about the One Read application is that users can :

• create their own bookclubs
• give it a funky name
• invite up to 99 members and
• have virtual bookclub chats within the app.
You can track your reading progress (and that of other members of your bookclub) via the bookclub “readerboard".

Review

At the end of the 21 days, you can write a review of the book of the month, and upvote and comment on the reviews other One Read users have written. This is another exciting way for One Read users to interact and share their thoughts with one another.
