Description

The Montreal Holocaust Museum app presents three thematic tours of its permanent exhibition: “Life Stories of Holocaust Survivors”, “Children and Teenagers during the Holocaust” and “Deconstructing Genocide”. Discover the history of the Holocaust through the personal and moving stories of survivors who made Montreal their new home. Through objects, photographs, archive documents, audio commentaries and testimony clips, explore the causes and consequences of the genocide of the Jews.

Available in French and English, the app allows you to share your favourite objects through Facebook, Twitter and e-mail.

Once downloaded the app requires a short initial network connection (cellular or Wi-Fi) for content download. After this step, the app works offline - with the exception of video content, which requires a network connection.

The Montreal Holocaust Museum was created in 1979 by a group of Holocaust survivors with the support of young members of the Jewish community. It is supported by Federation CJA. Its mission is to educate people of all ages and backgrounds about the Holocaust, while sensitizing the public to the universal perils of antisemitism, racism, hate and indifference.

The Museum is located at 5151, chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine, Montreal. It is open daily, except Saturdays. To plan a visit: www.mhmc.ca
