Rádio São João

Description

Rádio São João do Sudoeste do Paraná was officially born on July 20, 1987. Always with the slogan: “The Communication Link of Society”, the station became the landmark of communication in the municipality of São João.

During this period, communication was difficult for a municipality that was just beginning its development. The emergence of the station came from the need of the local population to have a means of communication in which their cultural identity could be created.

The story goes that on January 8, 1986, a partnership was created between some businessmen from São João who sent the competition request to the Ministry of Communications. On October 1, 1986, a contractual change was made in which one of the entrepreneurs withdrew from the company.

On July 25, 1986, through ordinance number 176, the then Minister of Communications Antônio Carlos Magalhães granted permission to Rádio São João do Sudoeste do Paraná Ltda. to explore Medium Wave Sound Broadcasting services. This ordinance was published in the Official Gazette of the Union on June 27, 1986.

On July 11, 1987, the inspection for the licensing of the transmitting station was carried out by engineer Roberto Lang, technician Vinícius Elizio Winkelmam accompanied by the then director (now deceased) Professor Pedro Gasparetto.

Finally, on July 20, 1987, the station went on air permanently. This direction was maintained until June 1, 1998, when Sistema Seleski de Comunicação, based in Francisco Beltrão, acquired the station.

Rádio São João continues to leave its legacy of active communication with serious journalism, quality entertainment and its own dynamism, which has transformed it into one of the main broadcasters in the Southwest of Paraná.
