Chapter 3 : Zakat

1. Types of Zakat Mal

Five assets that are obligatory zakat:
1. Farm animals
2. Atman1
3. Agriculture
4. Fruits
5. Commercial goods

As for livestock, only three types of zakat must be paid; camels, cows and goats.

2. Requirements for Obligatory Zakat on Livestock

There are 6 obligatory conditions for zakat on livestock:
1. Religion of Islam
2. Freedom
3. The cattle are perfectly owned
4. Reach Nisab
5. Passing one haul2
6. The cattle are herded

3. Obligatory Zakat Terms of Gold and Silver

As for atman, namely two things; gold and silver, there are five obligatory conditions for zakat;
1. Religion of Islam
2. Freedom
3. Perfectly owned
4. Reach the nishab
5. Passing one haul

4. Requirements for Compulsory Zakat on Agriculture

As for agriculture, there are three obligatory conditions;
The plants are maintained by humans
Tenamannya including staple food and can be stockpiled
Has reached the nishab, namely five wasaq without shells (not grain)
