This app is a metal detector that can be used to find metal objects. It can be used to find coins, jewelry, and other metal objects.
Metal detector applications require a magnetic sensor (magnetometer). If this app is not working properly, please check your device specifications. If your smartphone or tablet does not have a magnetometer, this app will not work. For example, smartphones that use NFC technology have a built-in magnetometer.
This app can be useful for example for:
- Find electrical wires in the wall.
- Iron pipes on the ground.
- Detecting metal in luggage or at airports.
- Metal objects in the water.
- Find magnets.
If you want to use this app to find metal objects, keep in mind that it may not be able to detect all of them.
How the metal detector app works:
1. Open the app and click on the 'Detect Metal' button.
2. Move the phone around in a sweeping motion until the app detects a metal object.
3. The app will then tell you how far away the object is and what type of metal it is made of.
This app measures the magnetic field with a built-in magnetic sensor.
The magnetic field (EMF) level in nature is about 49μT (micro tesla) or 490mG (milli gauss); 1μT = 10mG. When any metal (steel, iron) is nearby, the level of the magnetic field will increase.
The accuracy totally depends on your magnetic sensor (magnetometer). Please note that this sensor is affected by electronic equipment (TV, PC, microwave) due to the presence of electromagnetic waves.
This app is not 100% accurate and may not be able to detect all metal objects. The metal detector does not detect gold, silver or copper coins. They are classified as non-ferrous metal that lacks a magnetic field.
