Club Nacional de Football is a football club from Uruguay, founded on May 14, 1899, after the merger, on the initiative of young university students of the time, of the Uruguay Athletic Club and Montevideo Football Club.
The club practices several sports, but football stands out, in which it has obtained important victories at national and international level, thus gaining considerable recognition at the world level. He was three times champion of the Copa Libertadores da América, and in the three times he went to the Club World Cup, he didn't lose any.
Nacional makes with its traditional rival, Peñarol, one of the greatest classics in world football.
