Description

The Festival de la Tigra - Piedecuesta ruge was born in 2017 with the purpose of reactivating spaces for culture in the municipality of Piedecuesta, Santander through the production of live shows, workshops and discussion spaces that contribute to the strengthening of the music scene and cultural of the region. In its programming, the presence of local and regional projects is prioritized with the participation of national and international guests, without restrictions of gender or format. Although its backbone is music, La Tigra celebrates the arts in the plural and encourages its participants to generate collaborations and unprecedented shows.

Piedecuesta is one of the 3 municipalities that make up the metropolitan area of ​​Bucaramanga, capital of the department of Santander, in northeastern Colombia. Although its relationship with the city is very strong, the town has developed its own dynamics that make it an important node of artists and cultural processes that, however, do not have an infrastructure or a consolidated circuit to develop. One of the main objectives of the Festival de la Tigra is to claim the good functioning of El Elefante Blanco. This is how the Daniel Mantilla Orbegozo Cultural Center is known in the town, since it has not fulfilled the purpose for which it was built: to maintain constant programming to be the epicenter of the creation and enjoyment of culture.

In 2019, the Festival moves from January to February in order to link the school population to its activities. We wait for you from February 21 to 24 with all the power of this third roar.
