Description

Finn Moray. A musical map of Scotland with a purpose.

Finn Moray began as a quiet promise made in the middle of grief. In the spring of 2025 I lost my dad, my longest companion and the person who always believed that happiness was found in doing the right thing with whatever gifts you had. In the weeks that followed I picked up my old Freshman guitar, opened the notebooks filled with poems and songs written over the years, and realised that these pages were not a side interest. They were the truest expression of who I am. Grief breaks things open, but it also takes fear away. It reminded me that life is too short to hold back the work that feels honest.

From that moment Finn Moray was born. The album AON: The Call is a collection of songs grounded in real places and real people across Scotland. Each track is inspired by a town or landscape that shaped my life, carrying stories of ordinary resilience, quiet courage and the way small communities hold one another through time. This is music written for Scotland and everyone who carries Scotland with them wherever they go.

But Finn Moray is more than an album. It is a Social Compact that returns fifty percent of all net profits to the communities linked to the songs. Every purchase made through our store helps support local groups, creativity, youth projects and shared spaces in the places that shaped the music. The remaining share keeps the project alive and also creates fair opportunities for talented artists who will join AON: The Gathering, a companion record where others reinterpret the songs in their own voice.

Our Wix store exists to make that connection simple. Here you can buy music, limited edition vinyl and CD releases, artwork, and future live session downloads. Every sale is transparent, traceable and contributes directly to the Social Compact. This is not streaming economics. It is a return to a fairer relationship between artist and audience, where the value created is shared openly and used for something good.

The blog inside this app tells the ongoing story of Finn Moray. It documents the visits to each Scottish town, the writing process behind the songs, the partnerships forming with local groups and the people who inspire the work. It is a place for honesty and for grounding the music in the lives of those it aims to celebrate.

Whether you come to Finn Moray for the songs, the stories, or the sense of purpose behind it, you are part of something meaningful. Thank you for supporting a project that tries to give back more than it takes. Explore the music, read the journey, and join us at
