The CAEd Fluency in Reading application is a tool for applying fluency tests to students from partner education networks of the Center for Public Policy and Education Assessment at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (CAEd/UFJF). This device is, therefore, aimed at professionals responsible for the application and does not provide for direct handling by students.

Among the features of the application are access to the list of expected students, pre-test recording and recording of student responses. All this offline, in view of the diverse infrastructure of public education systems in Brazil. Here, internet access is only required for audio synchronization.

Thus, CAEd/UFJF advances in its trajectory of guaranteeing the right to learning for students in public schools across the country.
Given the diversity of public education systems in Brazil, the application was designed to meet the most varied contexts, especially with regard to infrastructure issues. For example, assessments can be applied without a connection to the network, so that internet access is only required when registering and transferring data.

The CAEd/UFJF initiative aims to guarantee the right to learning for students in public schools across the country. The use of large-scale assessment results is essential for this right to be ensured, as it allows managers and teachers to develop actions based on evidence, that is, on the difficulties and potential of students at each stage of teaching.
