Description
Abdullah Ja'far, the son of Muhammad, whom we know as Rudaki (father of Persian poetry), was born in Rudak district, in the village of Benj near Samarkand.
His date of birth is unknown and we do not know much about his childhood and adolescence. He is said to have memorized the Koran as a child and studied in the schools of Samarkand. What is clear to us is the result of these teachings which are in the form of Rudaki's mastery of Persian vocabulary.
It is said that at that time, the custom was that whenever a poet sang a great song of praise, he would read it with great music in front of it. Rudaki sings his songs with the instrument.
Rudaki's Navy has been around since he made his way to Bukhara and the Samanian court, where he held the highest poetic position in the court.
The most well-known story of Rudaki is the story of the king's departure from Herat, with no dream of returning to Bukhara. No one was bold enough to tell the king to go back to the capital. The courtiers rounded up Rudaki and he sang that beautiful season and summoned the king to Bukhara.
Rudaki is said to have made a large fortune on the court, which had 200 slaves and slaves and was owned by Bukhara. But Rudaki's old age was left empty-handed, and the reason for this is unclear.
The other news about Rudaki is about his vision. Some say that he was a congenital blindness, and some refer to rare descriptions in Rudaki's poetry as saying that he was blind as an adult.
Rudaki died in his hometown of Rudak in 329 AH, and his body was buried there.
