Don’t put your life on the line. Before you arrive on the worksite, plan ahead and check the location of powerlines with our Look up and Live app, specific to Queensland, Australia.
The Look up and Live app is an important tool to safely plan and/or perform work around the electricity network and a platform for businesses to request specialist safety advice.
The use of this app may help minimise contact and reduce the risk of injury or death from electrocution and damage to equipment and the electricity network.
Look up and Live features:
- Overhead powerline locations and imagery via an interactive geospatial map
- Powerline safety guidelines, including powerline exclusion zones
- Options for planning or performing work e.g. powerline visual indicators
- Information on de-energisation or relocation of powerlines
- Safety advice and High Load information.
- Dial Before you dig enquiry.
- Emergency procedures for machinery operators in the event of accidental contact with powerlines.
- Industry specific fact sheets (e.g. Agriculture, Cane growers) on being safe around the network.
