The “Digital Office” offers Austrians online completion of official business and information about public administration in specific life situations. Digital office services will save you the trip to the office in the future.

How to use oesterreich.gv.at:
1. Download the “Digital Office” app for free.
2. Log in with your ID Austria. If you do not yet have an ID Austria, please follow the instructions within the app.
3. After successfully registering with your ID Austria, you can use all the advantages of the “Digital Office” without restrictions.

ID Austria is the further development of the cell phone signature. If you don't yet have an ID Austria, you can still log in with your mobile phone signature. You will automatically be guided through the necessary steps to convert your mobile phone signature in the app to an ID Austria.

Important functions:
● Find all online information about official services and public administration information at a glance.
● Use the cross-platform search (including RIS - legal information system, Data.gv.at, USP - corporate service portal) for all administrative topics.
● Complete selected official procedures conveniently online (e.g. applying for a voting card, registering, deregistering and changing your place of residence, digital Babypoint)
● Stay up to date with the latest news on the subject of digitalization
● Use the chatbot if you have any questions
● Use the secure login using ID Austria and keep track of your ID Austria usage history
● Receive your official letters digitally
● Use the PDF signature and sign your PDF documents digitally with ID Austria

Digital official services:
● Change residence
○ Registration, de-registration and re-registration of main and secondary residence (also for minor children if they are registered at the same main residence).
○ Receipt of confirmation of the report after the reporting process has been carried out.
● Digital Babypoint
○ Providing personalized checklists covering all relevant steps from pregnancy to birth and beyond.
○ Initial issuance of certificates for newborns (birth certificate, proof of citizenship, confirmation of registration)
● Remove your passport
○ Reminder service via email in good time before the document expires
○ Save an image of the passport
● Central cross-authority registration and forwarding to online administration services without having to log in again (e.g. FinanzOnline)
● Redirection to online administration services without having to log in again (e.g. FinanzOnline)
● Uniform online application for a voting card throughout Austria
● Document service for ordering extracts from the central civil status register
