Description

What is it?
With the app you can practice for naming organic chemistry.
Naming in organic chemistry seems difficult, but it is just good to learn.
Like everything in chemistry: you learn by practicing.
This app gives you the opportunity to practice naming whenever you want if you're waiting for the bus, during recess at school or when you are bored.

How does it work?
You get an overview of types of connections that you want to be tested, such as branched chain hydrocarbons, esters, alcohols, ketones, amines and so on.

If you choose a connection type, you will see five structures from a much larger database of structural formulas.
Type the name of the connection and check the name by clicking on 'control'.
You have to be careful and make no spelling errors.
Also note '-' (dashes) between numbers and letters "," (comma) between numbers. Between letters without any spaces.
Once you have completed your answer satisfactorily and controlled, then continue with a new connection.

Per connection, you can ask for a hint via the 'hint' button.
If that's not enough, you can peek through the connection name 'cheat'.

The app keeps track of a percentage how many responses you have a good connection type.

You can choose the old or new IUPAC naming. For students in 2016 (2015 HAVO) do exams are tested it with the new naming.
The main screen of the app, which you can always come back, you can also opt for an explanation of the naming in general. This can be very enlightening.

You can exit the app. He remembers what your scores were for the next time.
There are a total of nearly 250 compounds included in the app, so you can practice a decent time.
