Description

The application makes the dimensioning of the screw subjected to torsional moment.
Just select the type of screw, the material of the flange, the type of connection between the flange and the screw so that the application can calculate if the selected gauge will withstand the torsional moment that it is being requested.
On the calculation screen, the user will be able to select the screw gauges between metric screw line and inch screw line.
The torsional moment and measurements can be changed according to the most common measurement unit used by the user, as the "Units" screen has several options for selection.
The Flange application has an easy-to-use graphical interface.
The Flange application stands out in dimensioning the diameter of the screw, mainly due to its simplicity of use and agility in providing answers.

• Field of action:
Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Engineering, Production Engineering.

• Application in industries:
Metallurgy, machine building, capital goods, among others.

• Users:
Engineers, technicians, operators, teachers, students.

• Applications:
Manufacture of machines and equipment in general that transmit torsion moment in a certain steel bar coupled to a flange to transmit this torque to other certain equipment.

• All sizing formulas are presented, the Flange application makes the following checks:
1 – Check the input data
2 - Allowable voltages
– Tensile breakdown (fu)
– Yield stress ( fy )
3 – Load acting on each screw
4 – Shear strength in the screw
5 - Contact pressure
6 – Final conclusion of the sizing
