Description
Genuína radio is a web station based in Cruz Alta-RS. It began operating on 19/July/2022, having been created by gaucho nativist communicator Gabriel Moraes (also a researcher and promoter of regional culture, composer, and nativist musical performer). Rádio Genuína brings as its slogan, “Nativist authenticity, with gaucho essence and Brazilian soul.” The station remains on the air 24 hours a day, and has the characteristic of valuing regional music identified with gaucho nativism, also reserving spaces for Brazilian music from the roots. Its basic principles are the feeling of patriotism, striving for democracy and civility, defense of freedom, conservative values, respect for the family, and Christian faith. It argues that rescuing, protecting, and valuing the regional characteristics of Brazil, with its peculiarities, is a way to strengthen the feeling of being Brazilian, of national unity, for the common good.
