Description

Does your child suffer from amblyopia (lazy eye) and has to undergo patching therapy? Amblio is here to help.

We know how difficult it is to ensure that a child wears an eyepatch for long enough time every day. Specially designed for parents and carers, Amblio provides specific tools designed to help you manage your child’s daily eyepatch time.

Amblio contains a dedicated parent-facing interface with features such as

* a calendar to enter daily patching times,
* a progress tracker for checking progress over weeks and months,
* a reward wheel, where you can offer a range of pre-set and editable rewards to your child when they have completed their patching time,
* rewards from our mascot, Bambu the panda, that get unlocked if your child is wearing an eyepatch long enough for several days in a row,
* comic strips and infographics to help you understand and explain the condition to your child.

Take also a look at our companion app Amblios Club! Amblios Club is a suite of games for children with amblyopia. The games in Amblios Club feature characters that normalize patch-wearing. Wearing a patch doesn't stop anyone from having fun!

Development of the Amblio software has been supported by the Southampton General Hospital Eye Unit, the National Institute for Health and Care Research, Innovate UK, and the University of Southampton.

The Amblio software is not a medical device and not intended for medical use. Please consult a doctor if you or your child encounter vision problems or you suspect your child has amblyopia.
